For the Love of Organization

I love it when things have an away place. It is just so much easier to stay tidy when everything has it's own home. There are quite a few things that do not currently have an away place and it is starting to drive me a little batty. But, with our awesome new pantry, we've been able to create a home for a few of our homeless items.

Our broom and mops have been hanging out on our back porch for the last few months in a very white trash fashion. Now, with the help of some hardware, they have come in from the cold heat and have their own little house.

As you can see, they have quite a few roommates as we have two mops (one for hardwood floor and one for tile) and two types of Swifter's. Also stored back here are our vacuum and steam cleaner.

I initially wasn't in love with the look of the holder, but it looks pretty awesome with the pipes that we made the shelves with so it is growing on me.

This little cubby even has enough space to put our mop bucket without it impeding into the work space.

I really like how tucked away yet accessible our cleaning tools are now. I eventually want to have some sort of hanging system for cleanser bottles along the inside wall and a hook to hang up our vacuum (it has this bad habit of sliding down the wall and sending its contents flying all over the place) but those things will come with time.

So now we are one step closer to everything having it's own home, and one step closer to checking the pantry renovation off our To-Do list!
