About Us

Welcome to the Life of CK and Nate! I'm Cassandra (CK) and I'm married to my awesome husband Nate. We started this blog a few years ago to document our first full house renovation on a 1955 cape. Then we moved to Florida, bought an even older house and had our little boy Will. Now we use this blog to keep our families, friends and our lovely followers up to date on our lives.

If you are new to the blog, thanks for visiting! Here you'll find that we will attempt to DIY pretty much anything. We build, renovate and even throw in some wheat free cooking in between working at our real jobs and taking care of Will and our furry friends, Madeline and Zoe.

We hope that you'll take a look around! If you are looking for some fun projects to tackle or a yummy wheat free recipe, take a look at our Projects or Recipes. If you're more in the mood to see cute baby and dog pics or want to have a look at our house, check out our Life and House Tour pages. Enjoy a peak into our lives!

  2. I knew when I saw your first home it was in the northeast. Really enjoyed reading about the two of you. I grew up in Mass, moved to N.H., and moved to Florida ( Ocala)8 years ago. We have two miniature dashunds, Zoe and Roxie. My husband grew up in New York City. I also enjoy the weather here, but, do miss Ma. Found you when looking for DIY lights using mason jars and you have explained it very well. Just found it interesting the many similar life path. The only thing------------I just wish I was your age again. Best of luck in Florida and with your new home.

    1. Wow! That's crazy! It's very cool to "meet" people that have a similar story that have ended up in FL and still love it. We were so nervous making this move but it's been a really positive experience. We haven't made it over to Ocala yet though!
