We tend to do a lot of projects during school breaks and also tend to get on big cooking kicks that last for a bit and then drop off. Because of this, we usually have a lot of great things to share with you, but some things get passed over for better posts. To clear out the backlog a little bit, this week is going to be a week of superlative style posts featuring the good and the bad of passed over projects.
To start us off, we have The Most Likely to Fall Apart:
This was my attempt at making a gluten free version of Garlic Parmesan Pull-Apart Bread from The Pastry Affair . I followed the directions, but instead of using regular flour, I used GF flour. You will notice that my version looks nothing like the yummy gooey goodness that the regular version looks like. It also wouldn't hold together at all... no pulling necessary to get the pieces off this thing! Despite the non-prettiness of my version, it was still quite good so it wasn't a complete failure. This gives me hope that I might be able to improve my skills to the point where I can get it not only tasting good but looking good too. Next time I make it I'm going to try to use GF bread flour to see if that makes a difference. I'll let you know what doesn't work and hopefully what does!
