A Very Merry Christmas

We spent Christmas at home this year with our dogs. While we had basically given each other our presents early (I got a new Mac Book and Nate got a table saw) our dogs had not gotten their gifts yet and   so we enjoyed the morning watching them open their gifts and opening presents from family.

Now I had the thought to get the dogs stockings ready the day before Christmas because, let's face it, they are dogs. I figured they wouldn't be the wiser. I was wrong. Immediately after I placed their goodies in their stockings this happened.

And of course Madeline had to check out her's as well

And the rest of the afternoon was spent doing this

So we now know how to occupy our dogs if we ever need them out of the way for an afternoon!

They hadn't forgotten about their stockings Christmas morning and so were very happy when Nate finally brought their stockings down

Our dogs love, and I mean love, squeaker toys and so they each got a new one and a couple of chew bones (they are so easy to please) and they spent the next few hour squeaking their toys to death.

As you can see, Madeline is very happy with her new toy, and if you look in the upper right hand corner, you'll see Zoe checking to see if there is anything left in her stocking. They crashed around Noon and spent the rest of the day napping.

I hope everyone had as enjoyable of a Christmas as our dogs did!
