We have been unpacking for approximately 3 weeks and while a lot of rooms are most of the way unpacked, this is the first room that I have deemed ready to be photographed. In our house the Master is on the first floor so the upstairs has the other 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are guest rooms. You will find this guest room to your immediate left as you walk up the stairs

This bed was actually given to us by the current owners of the house. It was being used to stage the house and they didn't want it so we got it! This was great since our "second" guest room in our last house really was a pull out couch that wasn't so comfortable. Also, since this house is considerably larger than our last house we are having to get creative in how we make use of furniture. The side tables in this room are actually these great bar stools that my parents got at the Maine State Prison (they have a store). I love these but we have chair type stools for the kitchen, so I thought this was a great way of using the stools and getting side tables for this room.
There are some things that we would like to do in this room still but all have to wait until after we buy it. First is to paint the walls. Everything in the house is currently beige and it would be nice to get some color on the walls. Second is to refinish all the built in cabinets in the room.
Right now they are a shiny laminate and they are hard to open since they have no pulls. That will be a nice project for later this year. They are currently housing my craft and sewing material. We also have shades to put in all the windows but haven't gotten around to installing them yet.
